As I'm sure that you are aware Facebook has become much more than a social media tool for people to be able to use for sharing pictures and sharing information with their friends and family.

Think of all the friends you have on facebook currently that are local to your real estate business and listings. Think of the effect your direct contacts can have on getting more eyes to your listings and open houses.
I’m not talking about sending them a link to your newest listing, or even putting that information on your facebook wall…I’m talking about an awesome feature on facebook that you can use all the time and get incredible results.

The incredible features about facebook events are…it’s free, it’s instant, you can invite friends, family and clients that you have as friends and use it the same way you would your normal facebook page or profile.
You simply create the date of the open house, as well as the time –add in a picture for the event…perfect solution is a picture of the property.
You invite people to attend from your list of friends, and any time someone responds back… it shows up on their wall for all of their friends, and family to see.
Chances are you have been invited to a party, get-together, etc. with a facebook event – you see how easy they are to use and respond to – think about the possibilities for your new listings open house this weekend or whenever the date is going to be.
Make it a public event that anyone can respond to and your open house can go viral in your local market, turning your open house into an Open House Event.
