Wordless Wednesday – Room With a View

We have been spending a little time in New Mexico, visiting my mom for her 80th birthday. This time we decided to stay in a hotel, and were looking forward to a beautiful view of the mountains from our hotel room. When we got to our room, we opened the curtains…and here’s our view!

 Room with a view

Oh, well! Guess we should have checked the view on Travelocity, as the commercial says!

Well I hope your visit is far more satisfying than that view. That would be quite a disappointment. Hopefully the room is not billed as a view room!

LOL, John and Jeff! Just to the right of that sign is a pretty view of the Organ Mountains, so all is not lost!

Holy cow! That's a good one! At least it wasn't something disgusting like garbage or a junk yard. Could be worse, right. Hope you have a good rest of your trip.

Oh my!  It sounds like you have a sense of humor about the view.  As long as your room is clean and comfortable this photo will long be a great conversation piece.

Rose - have seen some similar "commercial" views from motels. Can also restrict sleeping during normal business hours.

Sometimes night freight trains don't help either.

Good morning Rose.  It looks like that sign is facing your hotel room.  Now why would anyone angle the sign that way?

Enjoy your visit.

Rose,

Sorry, but, that is too, too funny!  But, spending time with your mom on her special day makes it all worth it.

Hi Rose,

When I saw the photo and read your post I couldn't believe this would be the view from any hotel room....  What were they thinking.  Good thing you were visiting your Mother and had that to look forward to...  cause I'm sure you weren't looking forward to spending to much time in that hotel room.  Sorry to hear this!  I hope you had a great time at your Mother's for her birthday.
