OK, so we did get about 17 inches or so of snow Monday, but the sun is shining today and the plows have been busy keeping up their wicked awesome reputation of keeping our roads clear. It is a good day in Maine! We are enjoying the sun here and the relatively mild temperature of slightly above freezing. I'm told we'll be hunkering down in the single and negative numbers soon for a little while.
There may be some folks who just wouldn't want to deal with the snow and cold, but winters are rather short here and come all at once. I feel fortunate that we get our seasons in the proper order! There is something very comforting about being in tune with the seasons. We have a long autumn and a long spring, and somehow people seem to relish the summer months more here due to the winter. There is a cohesive nature to Mainers and their ability to adapt and flow with the seasons.
Bundle Up and stay warm! -and if you are yearning for some snow, give us a call and we'll see what we can do to help you find your own Maine getaway!
