Why would anyone jump off of a perfectly good rock?  That's almost as silly as jumping out of a perfectly good airplane whose engines and parts are still working fine.

Hello Jeanne & Ralph ... It's just some fun in the sun for these teenagers at Lake Tahoe, and the water is "Freezing"

What a beautiful photograph! But, I will say that jumping off those rocks doesn't look like the smartest thing to be doing!!

Wow, that is some pretty blue water for a lake. Our lakes look like giant farm ponds the water is so dark!

Hi Bob,

Great picture and everyone looks like they are having fun. Is it safe to jump there? I would just stand on the big rock as I am not a big fan of swimming in lakes. Happy Friday!

VB, I would venture to guess that that water will refresh you to the core.  Is that natural or was sand brought there to add to the appeal?  It looks as if it could literally take your breath away.

Hi VB!

I so miss spending my summer days at Lake Tahoe with my dad, brother and sister.  We were so used to the California cold water that we actually swam for hours.  We were tinged blue when we got out!

Thanks for the lovely swim down Memory Lane!

You were up this way again? You'll have to let me know some time. I'll come up and we can have lunch or dinner. I'm Inspecting three houses this week around the lake, maybe I should take a few pics.
