Sunday Photos  If they Can't Deliver Them, I don't Pay Them

While taking a cross street to meet a client, I was taken by a stand of mail boxes with a unique box which just stood out among them all.

The principal must be that they can't be delivered if they can't be put into their appropriate box. The US Government is often very specific as to the proper handling of the mail.

An inscription seen on many a post office reads:

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds

Nothing in there reads the box is too high

Hello Ed,

Congratulations on your post being featured. This is a great post. It reminds me how in a just a few short years so many of us pay a high percentage of bills online and gradually it seems- to smartphone:) Thanks for sharing.

I'm not even sure how accurate this is, since so many of our futures will be filled with inline bill paying.

Good morning Ed!  I am a day late on this one, but certainly a photo worth commenting on.  I like the concept and creativity of the home owner.  Too bad the concept doesn't work!

One never knows what will catch the eye of the AR Gods, I just thought it was funny.

Andy, I too have seen the air-mail boxes in photos, this was different as I could take my own photo of it.

Jeanne and Ralph, I have as well, but this just made me stop

Linda, for sure I'm sure that when the mailman comes by they laugh even though they've seen it so many times.

Amy, I too pay my bills online, but have always insisted that I keep a paper of copy of my business bills, as it would save a lot of time if I ever had to defend something to the IRS

Cindy, the mail box is to have a certain height, but not all mail carriers sit at the same elevation in the seat.

Ginny, my job was done, I made you chuckle

Hi Al & Peggy, I doubt it works well at all. I know that I couldn't see into the box to see if there was anything in there.

Randy, we have rural carriers with a truck, but they can't stand on the hood to get added assistance.

Team Christiansen, thanks for stopping

Michael, I don't know that it stops the payment so much as adds additional charges.

Robert, I too pay as much as I can online, but I always make sure to get the confirmation number and write that on my copy.

Richie, Bill was high on a ladder when he pout this up.

Charlie, Sunday posts should be light, we have 6 other days to rant and inform.

Adrian, I was so taken by looking up, that I probably should have looked down to see if there was a special receptacle for junk mail.

Hannah, why thank you, and thanks for stopping

Fernando, I'm sure there are a lot of bills that the US Gov't is slow to pay

Sandy, thanks for stopping and have a great week as well.

Joni, your laugh almost reads as full of mischief

George, I'm with you as well.

Debb, maybe we can start a trend on AR

Melissa, almost all of my providers allow for online statements and payments, but I am a stickler for keeping the receipts. It comes from an audit years ago.

Ellie, a Sunday laugh that shouldn't offend anyone, I think

Tom or Pam, it was funny to see, and one is never late to comment on any post, they sit out there forever.

Susan, I'm just the messenger, but thanks

Ed, I like the concept...now if the techies can figure out a way to apply that to spam emails...(something better than junk folder).
