Braids for Bo at Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay today.  Al Johnson’s is an authentic Swedish family owned restaurant where you can find goats grazing the sod roof. It's quite a sight, and it's made this place one of the most famous restaurants in Door County.  Al Johnson's puts their Swedish Restaurant to good use today to help our local hero battling cancer,

Today, August 19th, there will be a "Braids for Bo" fundraiser in the grassy area right next to Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant! Come and get your hair styled up in Swedish braids to help support Bo Johnson in his huge battle against leukemia. The suggested donation is $5 but any other amount is surely acceptable:] Tell your friends, tell your family, tell the tourists and visitors! Thank you for your support! Hope to see you all there.  Go Bo!

Awesome job and I love Al Johnson's restaurant. I can taste the Swedish Pancakes with Lingonberries. Being Norwegian I make them myself. Good to know a contact in Sister Bay. Beautiful area and we should make it a point to take a trip to the Door County Penninsula. My future daughter in law is from Sturgeon Bay and her parents own a strawberry farm. The wedding will be in Sturgeon Bay next year. We are so excited.

Mary Kay, when I saw that goat in the picture my immediate thought was SISTER BAY!  We used to live in Door County for several years as my dad worked at the shipyard at Petersons.

Bruce, it's still a great place to visit and live.  Door County is very, very special.
