A report by Ohio State University sociology professor Zhenchao Qian for the US2010 Project shows that the number of young U.S. adults between the ages of 20 and 34 living with their parents rose to 24 percent during the recent recession in 2007-2009. That’s an increase from 17 percent in 1980.
