The 2012 Grant Park Summer Shade Festival and Corks & Forks Event is this weekend!
It's the 10th Annual Grant Park Summer Shade Festival is one of the largest annual festivals in Atlanta. Activities include an artist market featuring hundreds of artists in a variety of mediums, as well as two stages for live music. For the little ones, there will be a Kids Zone with storytellers, puppet shows and art activities along with some great more active options including a climbing wall and a bungee jump!
General admission to the festival is free, but some of the activities require the purchase of tickets or registration including a 5K run and Corks & Forks, a food and wine event including food sampling from local eateries, wine/craft ale tasting, food preparation demonstrations and seminars. Participating restaurants include Bhojanic, Livingston, Peasant Bistro, The Sundial and Serpas.
*** Tickets for Corks & Forks are $25 in advance and $30 at the event.

TIME: 10 am to 10 pm (Saturday) and 11:00 am to 7:30 pm (Sunday)
LOCATION: Historic Grant Park (between Boulvard and Cherokee Ave, Atlanta 30312)
PARKING: Some paid parking will be available, but parking along Cherokee or on the side streets is recommended.
