P&G Riverfest & WEBN Fireworks September 2nd 2012
3...2...1....KABOOM!!! It's time to countdown to the unofficial end of summer blast, the biggest fireworks show in Cincinnati. The P&G Riverfest is a day long event and the WEBN Fireworks show are the highlight of this end of summer bash! Fireworks start at 9:05 p.m. and are like the Energizer Bunny, they just keep going and going! Here's a taste of them with last year's finale:
And after decades of running this Big Boom Party, Rozzi's Fireworks & WEBN know how to throw a party that will bring hundreds of thousands of people down to the riverbanks of the Ohio River!
Now of course there's much more to this Ohio River Fireworks Show than JUST the fireworks! There will be live music and other entertainment starting at noon on September 2nd at the Serpentine Wall and P&G Pavilion stages and going until a half hour before the fireworks start!
And the expense to get in? FREE! Now of course parking, food and non-alcoholic drinks for the day are on you. Notice we said NON-ALCOHOLIC drinks! Sorry, but adult beverages are forbidden.
Hot day + drunk behavior = non-family friendly event, so they're heading off trouble right from the start.
The boats will start claiming their spots on the river LONG before the actual event and both the Kentucky and Ohio side of the riverbanks will be crowded with people!
And of course various businesses that have great views of the Ohio River will be offering packages to take advantage of the fun!
Now there are rules for this event:
You can bring blankets, but no chairs (even the fold up kind). You can claim your spot as early as 6 a.m. on Saturday September 1st.
No booze. PERIOD.
No weapons. That's right, leave the brass knuckles at home.
No wheeled items....skateboards, bikes, scooters, rollerblades, etc.
No pets! Yes, we know they're cute, but this isn't the place for them.
There will be road closures for the event. Obviously the earlier you get there, the better your chance at finding prime parking down by the Ohio River!
We hope you have a blast!
