When I go to a car lot I want to be able to read the price of the vehicle without calling out a salesperson. (I know...I know...Haven't we had enough comparisons to used car salesmen already?) Well, stereotypes usually start with some basis in fact. We just have to rise above it.
I'm the same with Real Estate. I believe being totally up front and honest will serve everyone better, buyers and sellers alike. After all, why make people dig for the price? How does that benefit the seller? If the price is on the sign, they can consider whether they want to follow through, or not. I like facts...as many as possible up front...BEFORE I have to hear a sales pitch. Now, some of you may be saying that you don't toss callers a sales pitch and you may be right. But, believe me, they're expecting one. And, if they're assuming a higher price than they can afford, they probably won't even bother picking up that phone.
So, I decided that if my clients are in agreement, we will put the price on the listing signs...simply because I want to hear from people who are interested and qualified to buy it. I don't want to just use that piece of property to get more calls.
So far, so good. I only wish the price was closer to my little drawing. ;-)
How about you guys?
