Horse lovers will be in Metamora on 09/29/2012 for "Celebration of The Horse", a festival celebrating everything equine. The festival will be a day full of fun, food and frolics for everyone.
Festival goers will be treated to a day full of horse related activities. A horse drawn trolley will transport visitors north and south along Metamora Road, another trolley will run from downtown Metamora to M-24 and back, so parking won't be a hassle for the festival. There will be adult horse rides, pony rides for 
children, dressage demonstrations, breed displays, music, a parade and more.
Aside from purchasing food or items from vendors, most activities at Celebration of The Horse are free. After spending time with the horses, festival goers can visit the food vendors and business expo or take in a Ben Hassenger or R & R Doubletake concert. Kids can enjoy activities such as pumpkin painting, hobby horse races, horse shoe toss and candy rope knot tying or visit Sparkles The Clown for face painting and other fun.
