People are always going to find fault. Some, are going to LOOK for fault. But if we stop putting ourselves out there.... If we stop standing out...... We become the fault.
As I was giving my 9 year old advice at dinner about starting 4th grade, I found myself starting to give her "rules". I was starting to say "Don't talk too much", "Don't try to be the most popular kid in class", "Don't distrac
t the teacher" when I said to myself "STOP".
Do I want her to BLEND IN? Do I want her to be just like everyone else? Do I want to stifle her creativity? Do I WANT to silence her?
NO! NO! NO!
Of course, nobody wants to create a problem child or raise a criminal - but if we really want to do our kids a favor - we ENCOURAGE them to Be Unique, To Stand OUT, to LEAD the pack.
Here's to 4th GRADE Tabitha! Now go launch some Purple Cows babe!!!!!
And Here's to YOU Seth Godin for reminding me (The Big MOO & Purple Cow)
