7^th Annual California Capital Airshow

Mather Airport, September 8^th and 9^th, 2012

When is the California Airshow at the old Mather Air Force Base? I heard this asked today and I wanted to know myself!

Of course the base is no longer an active base but the Mather Airport is very much in use. On September 8-9 2012 the airport will be host to the largest airshow around, the 7^th Annual California Capital Airshow.

The real crowd pleaser, the United States Air Force thunderbirds Jet Demonstration Team, will be there as the headliner in the sky. If you have never seen them perform live, you are in for a real treat. Seeing the show up close will be a memory that lasts a lifetime. And there is more.

The two day event will have all sorts of interesting activities and events for all ages. Historic aircrafts, aerobatic performers, exhibits, jump houses and even a jet car. Check out the California Capital Airshow web site for a complete list of features and event information.

Oh, Tom, what fun! Are you going? Make sure to take ear protection, those jets can be pretty loud flying by! We just had our indy car race in Edmonton and the jet boys do a couple fly-by's daily, LOUD!
