I would like to take some time to wish you a wonder Labor Day Weekend. Labor Day is about more than just the long weekend; it’s Fishing really about you and/or those you know who have worked, may be retired or are still working.  The first-ever Labor Day took
place on September 5, 1882. It was dedicated to honoring the efforts of America’s working class—and it was founded specifically to provide recreation and amusement to them.  So, remember, Labor Day is a day for some fun……and has officially been set aside for you and your loved ones. Fireworks

Vist the Gardens:       Free admission to Airlie Gardens 9/2/12 for New Hanover County residents

Wine Tasting:             8/31/2012 Free Wine Tasting at Taste The Olive-The Forum 6pm.

Hiking:                        Carnivorous Plant Hike, 9/1/12  10am Carolina Beach State Park-learn about plants that "bite" back
 
Shopping:                   There's  always shopping at the Village of Mayfaire, Independence Mall or the Cotton Exchange

Battleship:                  Haven't visited it yet?  Check it out....downtown on the Riverfront

Relax on The Beach:   Relax on our many beaches and catch the summer rays; try surfing or just pick up some sea shells

Sports:                        Don't forget High School football and support your favorite team

Fish and Animals:       Come on down to the Fort Fisher Aquarium or visit the Zoo off Carolina Beach Road (421 S)
