If you serious consider this option, talk to the customers who purchased these modular homes for the past 10, 5, 1 and 2 years. That range will give you an idea of how good the warranty is with a particular company and how happy customers are with the homes long term.
Modular homes are no walk in the park, I've been in the construction and real estate field for nearly 18 years, my husband and I flip properties, actually live in a 12 year old chiropractor's office that went into foreclosure.
