Important! Palm Beach County Public Safety Announcement-

If you live in Palm Beach County Florida and did not get the automated phone call from the Palm Beach Public Safety Emergency Management division here is important information:

If flood waters entered your home from Hurricane Isaac please contact the Public Safety department at 561-712-6400.

Flooding on your your patio, driveway and porch do not count for this. Please only call if water has entered the living areas of your home. Please make this call so that a damage assessment can be conducted.

We have been experiencing a lot of flooding. Schools were closed yesterday and many were closed today. Please drive carefully as you go out in your car as there are many roads with flooding.

This is the front of our home:

This is looking down our street:

Wellington flooding from Hurricane Isaac

Please do not play in the flood waters with your inner tubes and other floatation devices because you don't know what is under the water, you can get hurt by sharp objects or other debris floating in the water.

We have lot of photos to show you about from Hurricane Isaac as he roared through Wellington as a Tropical Storm Sunday and Monday. Will post those as soon as we clean up from this mess Isaac decided to leave us with.

Tropical Storm now Hurricane Isaac outer bands created more rain and broke a rain fall record from 1927.

Tiffany- The photos in the post are my house and our street. We are busy cleaning up the mess now. My little guy and I were in San Francisco during the storm. Nestor saved our home by using every dry towel, blanket, whatever he could find to keep the water from coming into the house. Now I am trying to save all of the towels, etc from molding. He also created his own pump system to get the water that was overflowing in our pool diverted into the front of the house instead of in our house! We are safe, but had no internet for a couple of days and big clean up job, but we are blessed to have saved our home.

Amazing photo's. Although it was a tropical storm and not a hurricane, it just goes to show how serious these storms can be. I would also add to stay out of the water as there could be snakes and alligators too. Hoe your home wasn't damaged.

Oh, wow! Hurrah for Nestor for saving the inside of your house! Holy high water for the rest of it, though - that reminds me that I should check in on my cousin and his family in Boca. Good luck with drying out!

We live directly across the state from you and I can not believe the pictures.  I saw them on tv as well and I'm stunned.  Naples was closer to the hurricane but we have none of this.  I don't get it.  I hope the ground goes back to normal very soon without damage.

Hey Guys,

I am right up the road in PSL and For Monday I was at home on an Island.  There was no road that was not flooded leading from my home in Torino.

And the scary part is the City of PSL just completed work on our canals to make them flow more efficiently just last month.

These canals OVERFLOWED and FLOODED us out.

Chris and Dick- We only got 40 mph winds, it was the outer bands of rain from Isaac that wreaked havoc on us here.
