Are You Out Of Order?

I know it's Friday and the everyone is looking forward to the weekend, but its still a business day!  In fact, in our business there are still 2 more work days till Monday.  Oh, trust me, I know how important it is to take time off. We have to refresh ourselves and of course there's the household chores we put off thru the week. But goodness, I thought maybe today was a holiday.

I called 4 real estate agents today to get information about some properties my buyers inquired about and also to follow up on some open deals we are supposed to close next week. I left messages this morning and sent texts this afternoon and still nothing. They might as well hang an "out of order" sign on their phone.

out of order

No wonder I get compliments for answering my phone and return calls promptly. To me it's just common courtesy. I do my best to answer my phone when it rings but we know that's not ALWAYS possible. I will however return your call within 4 hours if for no other reason but to schedule a time when we can talk.

It is so frustrating, when agents do not return calls. I understand they may not be able to answer the phone at times, but there is no excuse for not calling back.

We've run into many agents who are think they are either too important to return our call or they think they are too busy....  both assumptions are false in about 99.99% of the cases.  It's just a ego problem.
