This is our cat Gracie whom I affectionately call Loopy, about a year ago when we first got her.
I don't know what I'd do without my Loopy.

Loopy is one cool cat.... It's amazing how we come to love our pets as our kids :) We have a loopy pup and she rules ...
I wish I could have a dog! But I promised myself I wouldn't get one until we get a totally fenced in yard. Thanks!
We've had our two for about 8 years now. They're a never ending source of entertainment! And, you're right, what would we do without them.
Aww I know that after 8 years how much you care about them. I have another cat too, a kitten.
Hi Lynda -- there must be quite the story behind that nickname.....does Grace also answer to Loopy? Or does she take offense to it?
Yes, Michael, she answers to both! There's a story behind the two names...we live with my mother-in-law and my husband asked her what she wanted to name it, even though it's our cat...she said Gracie but I had already decided on Loopy when he told me what she said. Hubby gets mad when I call her that because he said it would confuse her. It's no different than having a nickname, right? ;)
Lynda -- no difference at all. As further proof, I'm sure your husband answers when you call him by name or when you shout "Hey You!".
Awww...so cute. My Cleo is so chill I always tell her that she is so cool that she needs to wear shades! A far cry from my skittish, highly nervous dog!
Looks like Loopy knows how to make herself comfortable wherever she decides to bed down. I like how she is scoping out the camera without raising her head.
Jennifer that made me laugh! I almost named a cat Miss Cleo one time. :)
Wayne, I caught her when she very first got in. I love to take natural pictures.
Lynda, what a cool cat -- Loopy! What would we do without our furry friends???
Joan, I was just telling my cats this morning I don't know what I'd do without them. :)
Connie, thank you so much. I love it too! It's so fun to say and she answers to both.
Yeah, we love our "kids" at our house too. Three cats, two dogs... we became empty nesters and adopted a house full of fur babies.
That's a great picture of Loopy. I love all animals. I have several cats. Spot is our newest addition. He was trapped as a wild kitten, but has tamed down nicely.
Tammy: That's what happened to us too, basically. My son is 22 now.
Debbie: Thanks, Loopy was wild too and very small. She won't let us hold her for long but she does rub against my legs if she wants petting and affection, but only for a minute. I love most animals too.
Lynda,
I could see how easy it is to fall in love with Loopy. What a pretty tail too! Loopy looks like a cuddlier and just purr-fect for you!
Perhaps when Mother's Day rolls around, you'll find a playmate for Loopy and name it too before you give it to your Mother-in-Law.
That's funny Patricia! We got a new kitten a few months ago, but Loopy does not like her at all. I have to pay lots of attention to both of them now.
