UPDATE: National Guard Is Here To Help In Palm Beach County- The Aftermath Of Hurricane Isaac for Palm Beach County Residents-

The Florida National Guard along with Palm Beach County are going door to door in flooded areas and are reaching the hardest hit areas affected by flooding.

The teams are on the ground and checking on residents going door to door to make sure everyone is safe.

Palm Beach County has opened an emergency shelter for you if you have lost your home to flood waters at the South Florida Fair Grounds Expo Center located at 9067 Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach Florida.

Many people are working hard to save their homes. We are safe and we are busy cleaning up the mess that Isaac left behind. Our prayers go out to everyone who have flood waters in their homes.

Don't play in the water!!!!

If flood waters entered your home from Hurricane Isaac please contact the Public Safety department at 561-712-6400.

WOW, and that was just from rains in the outbands. Living close to the sea has it's benefits and risks.

Melissa- my post that is featured about the flooding shows some more photos. I just got a photo from local Channel 5 from their chopper that shows you ALL of Wellington under water. It was very bad. They canceled school for 2 days.

Wayne, you are right, there are benefits and risks no matter where you live. I have lived in many places in the country and the world and each has good and bad about them.

Wayne- Parts of Missouri are now under water and they are not near the sea. We pray for all in Isaac's path as he is a dangerous slow moving storm.

Homes here are mostly all built up on mounds so that the rising water does not enter the homes. We have not seen this kind of flooding ever since living here. In fact, we are in a 100 yr flood plane. So this was very unlikely.

Hi Katerina,

Thanks for sharing this very helpful information. It's really important to be aware of who to call in these circumstances, and always keep important phone numbers ready. Be safe and take care always, keep up the good work as a top Wellington short sale agent!
