Liberty Lions JV Kick Off to a Great 2012 Season Against Livermore!
Last Friday August 24th the JV Liberty Lions traveled to Livermore to open against the cowboys. There was a little bad blood as the Cowboys beat most of these young men when they were Freshman last year on a disputed call for one of only 2 losses.
This years Freshman had won the night before 35-6 so the JV felt they had something to prove – and they did.
One 3 turn overs the JV Liberty Lions won 33-0. The Livermore Cowboys only crossed the 50 yard line twice and only had one really close drive; but turned the ball over on downs at the 5 yard line.
I am still getting to know the kids. They have some work to do, but this was off to a good start. Lions had a few dropped passes and had trouble against the outside run.
They have good balance of confidence and discipline. It is a well conditioned team ready for the 4th quarter.
Varsity Lost 20-8.
