So this is my first year playing fantasy football and I had NO IDEA what I was doing when I drafted my team. For years my Donald and I play who can pick the best each season. We take a schedule each week and choose teams. We don't have to choose "sides", we can choose the same team and some weeks we almost do choose the same teams, but generally a few are different. We each have "emotional ties" to a team here or there that leads us to pick with our heart and not our heads some times.
Now my fantasy football team picks were an entire different story. I know nearly nothing about individual players and haven't for years. I spent 7 years in a previous career back in the mid 80s to early 90s working at a newspaper and just reading AP stories and listening to the sports writers and editor gave me "insight" to players and I had better educated opinions. Hmmm I wonder if those old sports editors I worked with play fantasy football.
So how did I pick my team? Well all my players are "cute". Then I made the team color hot pink. Then I named the team "Sinclair Shooters". I figured if Vincent Hancock was a gold medalist "shooter" from Lake Sinclair then surely naming my team Sinclair Shooters would make me the winner this season.
Do you think my strategy is sound?
