This is the night of the Blue Moon, the second moon in the month. It would have also been my mother's 87th birthday, if she was still alive. Happy Birthday, Mom.
I went out late last night before going to bed, to attempt to get a couple of photos of the Blue Moon (photo above) and then early this morning, I was down at the seashore taking the photo below of the Blue Moon.
Since I live two SHORT blocks from the Gulf of Mexico and it takes all of about three 
minutes to walk to the water, getting there a little after 6 this morning was not a big deal. What was surprising was the half dozen other people that were there.
Even more surprising was the two dozen cars that were there with people that had their cameras in hand, at a little after 7 am. Guess this Blue Moon thing is making everyone come on out and Moon Gaze!
