I'm an avid watcher of trends (especially "green" trends) in the real estate market. So, in Part I,
I compiled data in terms of my (and our Firm's) special GREEN focus:

"GREEN-Built" Homes, ECO-Friendly Developments/Lots, Farms & Land /Acreage (20-100 Acres), Farms & Land /Acreage (100-500 Acres), Horse/Equestrian Properties w/ Residential Amenities, Luxury Residential Properties on at Least 5 Acres and/or Second/Vacation Homes in the Mountains, and Special Gems ...

I talked about the Greater Asheville Area's very strong, eco-friendly market. You can read more about this subject in the Best Housing Markets HERE

Now, in Part II , I'm moving into statistics on:

Horse/Equestrian Properties w/ Stables & Residential Amenities, LAND /Acreage (100-500 Acres), Luxury Residential Properties on at Least 5 Acres, and to taking a close look at stats on ALL THE 2007 CLOSED LISTINGS in the Asheville Board of REALTORS® Market Area.

That last bit could be fun for some of you. ...and so let's begin there...
onward to the end of the year 2007 STATS (to your left , below) and (to your right) a look at what's currently available for the eco-savvy buyer here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.where the mountains are charming and so are the people.

I like the idea you brought up about xeriscapes. I would love to have some stats on how much water homeowners could save and what that would translate into in terms of savings...let me know if you find those stats, OK?

I agree with you. As real estate pros we need to "stay in shape" in more ways that just hiking the land (so to speak)...and researching stats is one way to stay on track..Speaking of staying on track...it will be great to keep up with what's happening with you and your plans for this summer.
