Speechless Sunday - Big Waves At Ocean Beach San Diego

 

Currently, there is a storm in the South Pacific that is causing some very big waves to hit the coast in Southern California.  Here is a picture I took several months ago when the same weather situation occured.  This photo was snapped at the Ocean Beach Pier, OB San Diego 92107.  People love watching these big waves but only the very experienced surfers, swimmers and others enjoying the ocean, should go in.  Mother Nature can really put on a great show!

That was a beautiful scene, Kelly.  With a little imagination, it looks like a bunch of snow.  Was that a surfer in the waves?

Hi Bruce, Yes, there were a few surfers that day. They aren't supposed to surf that close to the pier but....... Living in Hawaii, i know you know how that goes :)

The eathquake today was in Beverly Hills, about 90 miles to the north, not too big (thank goodness).

The waves are beautiful.
