What Would You Do Without Your Cell Phone?

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Alliance Realty Group

What would we do without our cell phones?

I was on the road today- my husband was driving. I had my folder and calendar in my lap and cell phone in hand. We had a 2 1/2 hour trip and I worked all the way.

I love my Android. It is the single most important thing for my real estate career. My website www.NewPaltzRealEstate.com is a very busy site, but I have many listings as well with for sale signs and riders that include my name and phone number. Today being a beautiful day and Labor Day many people were out riding around and calling for more information about my listings.

Real Estate has become a mobile business. Agents can work from anywhere. Give me my Smartphone and I am in business.

What would I do without my cell phone? As we rode along with me texting and answering phne calls and emails- we spotted the answer....

Pay Phone

For fast service call my cell phone- 845 505 3160... If I dont answer leave a message and I will get right back to you! I am sure glad I do not have to run down the street to give my clients the service they require...Yipes!

Phone was seen in the town of Gilbertsville NY- Yes, my husband had to stop and try it. It was not hooked up.

Barbara, that about sums it up. We can conduct business almost anywhere now especially with all the new technology available to us. Those who are not taking advantage of all that is available will surely lag behind.

I would be lost, disconnected and out of touch without my iPhone.  But sometimes it is nice to unplug and leave the phone in my purse.

I drove to the drugstore very early one morning last week.  It was just a quick trip and I did not have my cell phone with me.  Went I came out to my car, it would not start $##!!!.  I searched all over the shopping plaza I was in and don't you know - NO PHONES ANYWHERE - not a payphone in sight.  Thank goodness I was close enough to my house to make the 25min walk home.

Good Morning All!

Gloria, Kerrie and Debbie- They do become a part of you. I too left mine at home one day when I was on the way for a meeting with a client and did not have time to go back, not only did I feel, "lost, disconnected and out of touch" I was in a panic with the "what if's" started to come into my mind, not only the prime importance of my business but a safty issue as well. Thanks for reading!

Dave- Thanks for admitting you actually remember them, It will not be long and there will be a generation that will look at it and think it is am alien being.

Have a wonderful day, May your apps be with you!!!

Barbara

Barbara you have a point, the smartphone make it easy to conduct business even from the beach.   Like Kerrie I do disconnect at times.

Here is hoping you had a great weekend.
