If you browse my Blog you will notice that I try to give accurate monthly market analysis for a few choice cities in my market. I attempt to include a broad array of information to help analysewhere our local market is headed and I pepper it with a little commentary, see example.
I recently found another source of data that I found very informational, the percentage of listed homes that are in foreclosure,I don't know how accurate this is as it's source is Trulia but I find it very enlightening. The information came from a doom and gloom website, Patrick.net, which a client sent me.
Here is a sample of the data:
As Listed on Trulia.com | 1/15/2008
Total # Houses Listed for Sale | Listings in Foreclosure | % of Listings in Foreclosure
CALIFORNIA CITIES | |||
Rialto | 1,232 | 946 | 76.8% |
Los Banos | 1,104 | 838 | 75.9% |
Fontana | 2,650 | 1,931 | 72.9% |
Pittsburg | 1,136 | 823 | 72.4% |
Sacramento | 9,097 | 6,518 | 71.6% |
San Bernardino | 2,580 | 1,822 | 70.6% |
I hope information like this is useful to you.
Take care!
