fall,New Mexico, Chile, green, red, NM, John mccormack, realtor, albuquerque homes realty

In Albuquerque and surrounding NM areas fall means one thing.... It’s chile time!   The local Farmers Markets are buzzing with chile lovers!  Just like kids in a candy store we hand pick the chiles we will have roasted and freeze for the upcoming winter and summer.  Indeed Fall means one thing in New Mexico it’s chile time!

Hi John, I think the hot chilli peppers are a learned experience. Sadly I don't have any, LMAO.

HATCH CHILE TIME - Yippee!!!.  My step father used to make the drive every year from Tucson to Alburqueque to buy boxes of them - it was one of the things he looked so forward to.

Great chili shot! Brings back memories... have I ever told you we lived in Angel Fire, NM for three years? Back then I remember all the wreathes, swags etc. they made out of the chilis.

John, I love those red Chile Ristras.  I bought and brought two strands home from Alb. They're so beautiful I couldn't bring myself to pulling the chilies off to eat them.

Hi John, Good looking peppers and how neat that they will roast them for you so you can freeze them and have the peppers when needed. I get them at Trader Joes when I need them in a recipe. Thanks for sharing and happy fall.

John, chiles to you must be a lot like blue crabs are to us!  Different food groups, but both are good!

Oh, I miss good chiles living here in Virginia!  Whenever I go back to my home state of Arizona, I always bring some home in my luggage.

I'd be very interested to try some of the different chile types that I'm sure you get to experience while living in New Mexico.

Hatch green chilies are the only chiles my husband will use to make his smoked chicken chili and thanks to the flash freezing process they're available year round here in AZ. Thanks for sharing John.
