The Historic Wiesbaden Vapor Cave, Hot Springs and Hotel, Ouray, CO. The vapor caves are another Western Colorado must see attraction. This is the most fantastic place to get it away from it all and relax. At the Historic Wiesbaden Vapor Cave and Hot Springs you can really melt all your cares away. The natural mineral hot spring water comes from deep underground and runs into the vapor cave. There it collects in a shallow pool and keeps the cave at a steamy temperature that will open every pore you have.
There are several benches carved out of the natural rock for sitting. I like soaking in the cave's pool which can be as hot as 108 degrees. The natural spring water is heated somewhere way under ground and has many therapeutic benefits. Most everyone can tolerate the steamy temperature of the cave, but if the indoor pool is too hot, the hotel also has an outdoor pool. The temperature of the outdoor pool ranges from 99 to 102 degrees. It uses the same mineral hot spring water.
The outdoor pool also gives you wonderful views of the mountains that make up the box canyon of Ouray, Colorado.
