I just had a new Dyersburg real estate website built for me that will make it so much easier for people to search for Dyersburg homes for sale. Our very own Joe Smith here on Activerain built it for me and is now getting it up in the search engines.
What I want to do here is share with you how to put a short cut on your home screen of your Droid phone. It will work for several items but I wanted it for a shortcut to my new website.
Here is the steps to take to do just that:
Add a Shortcut
1. Press Menu hard key, press + Add,
2. Select Shortcuts.
- You will be presented with a list of features that can be turned into a shortcut icon on your homescreens for quick access to the particular application or feature. (Applications, Bookmark (internet), Contact, Contact Search, Dialer, Navigation, Gmail label, Latitude, Music Playlist, Picture Slideshow, Settings, Voice Dial).
- Any application icon from the Applications tray can be used to create a shortcut. Tap and hold on the icon in the applications tray. The applications tray will hide away and you can drop the Application icon on your homescreen. This icon now becomes a shortcut to that application.
3. Select a shortcut from the "Select shortcut" menu to place it on a homescreen. You can adjust its position once its on the homescreen.
What I had to do is first bookmark the website after pulling it up in the browser. Then, I hit the menu key(far left) then hit add, then hit shortcuts, then hit bookmark and then I clicked on my website that I bookmarked earlier.
I plan to get all my friends and real estate business clients to do the same on their Droid phone. I am sure the I-Phone will be very similiar.
