50 Shades of Green

You might be wondering what on earth this could be referring to!  Since there’s a book about gray, why not green?  Because there are at least 50 Shades of Green!50 Shades of Green

50 Shades of Green is my reference to a homeowners many choices of energy efficient upgrades.  In today’s modern world new technology is constant.  New innovation occurs daily with smart home technology, apps for energy efficiency, innovative construction practices, and much more.  Hence the phrase 50 Shades of Green.

Today’s consumer is bombarded with the question, “What makes a green home?”  Answering that question begs more questions, “What is your expected budget? And what do you expect to accomplish?"

There are several questions that come to mind when we talk about greening a home and budget is the first priority for most homeowners.  Budget determines the level of energy efficiency, the size of the project,  and the end result.  The end result can be anything from a Net Zero home all the way to minor upgrades.  What’s your Shade of Green because there are more than 50 Shades of Green.

And if you're looking to buy or sell a home in the Scottsdale area, choose someone who understands how ot sell your home for more than the average realtor!

Tiffany - yes, green is catching on.  Now we just need to get the appraisers on board!

Kristal - sometimes titles just happen, other times it takes a bit of thought process.  Being very green, this one just popped up!

Sheila - Thank you!  Yes, I closed almost a month ago and moved a few days after.  Loving my new digs.  My goal was to use a 203K and green a home, but this one is new enough that it didn't need the extra $. Thanks, you too.

What a nice post, suggested!!  You're right about budget and planning.  There's so many little green things we can do and it does add up.  No matter the budget there are really 50 shades of green!

Carla - thank you for your feedback!  Going green has so many different elements, whether it's the product, where you bought it, what it's made of, and what level of energy efficiency, it's a huge difference.  Thanks again and have a great weekend!
