Holy cow, Pippa. That's like a bad country song. The fact that you were able to keep your head on and find a silver lining speaks volumns about the kind of person you are. Kudos and blessings to you and your family.
Hello Pippa.
OMG, what a terrible vacation and to come home and find you have been burgarlized too. I always blog my vacation pictures when I get back due to this problem. Lots of crooks watch FB notes for vacation schedules. Very sorry but you all spent time togeter and came home safely. Hope next vacation is much quiter like laying on the beach and not in the gulf.
You and your positive attitude are amazing!! I am so sorry for all of the bad luck - especially the robbery... I have a feeling some really good things are coming your way! Maybe play the lottery!?!?
Vacations are for building memories, and that one sure sounds memorable. Glad you could keep a positive attitude.
And through it all - such beautiful smiles in your photos. That says a lot about you and your family.
No one would have a wild enough imagination to make up all the awful things that happened to you. Your family has passed a terrific test with flying colors.
OMG. Like a movie but who would believe it? You have a wonderful attitude and that is irreplaceable. Congratulations on coping and your feature! Your kids sound great, btw.
Pippa, you and your family have such a great attitude in the face of adversity! So many people could learn a thing or two just from your attitude. And by the way, like everyone else I think this sounds like a great vacation movie!
Hi Pippa, quite a story. Hopefully you will look back on it in a few years and be able to laugh about it.
After all that you didn't make mention that you all wanted to kill each other which was great! You should send this story in so they could make a movie out of it - The Griswolds going to Wallyworld - nahh, that ain't nothin'. Wait til you hear this story .....
I've had some doozies too, but not quite that bad. This is what family memories are made of. (Sorry to repeat, but my contact info did not attach to #105 above)
Pippa:
Good for you and your family for keeping it together. I think I would have just given up when you had to reroute to another location for the cruise. You are truly fortunate to have such a great family.
Wow! You obviously have a great attitude to be able to write that in the tone that you did. I'm not sure I could have fared so well in the end! I would have had to walk right back out the door and start on that vacation AGAIN!
Pippa - That has to be the worst luck I have ever heard of in such a short period of time. It's amazing that you've been able to maintain the attitude you have after all that!
"Other than that Mrs. Lincold how did you like the play?" I am glad you can laugh about this. I think as time goes on it will be a memorable trip. Looks like you have great kids who can roll with the punches.
This is the reason I scour Facebook to see who is on vacation! Makes you wonder what else your kids put on Facebook? Sometimes they are so naive, thinking that the rest of the world is like them: honest and friendly.
Even if I know someone is on vacation from Facebook, how would I have their address? Must be an inside job.
I would definitely ask for a refund for the cruise! They had you chasing all over the place based on their instructions, and because of it (dare I say it) you missed the boat! (arghhhhh).
Holy Cow!!! What a vacation!!
I'm leaving next week, but leaving someone home, I too wondered about that FACEBOOK posting. You assured me it is not worth it. Joy
I love your story and love your upbeat, can-do attitude. This is a birthday the girls will always remember.
Wow! You used up all your bad luck for a lifetime. You deserve the feature!
