In one day, you can get your business back on track, just by following this 5 step plan:
1. Call 5 people from your sphere of influence and shoot the breeze. Ask how they enjoyed their summer, tell them a little about yours. Then ask who they know that’s moving next.
2. Follow up. Call or shoot emails to the people your sphere recommended. Tell them who told you they were thinking of buying or selling and that you’d like to help. Make appointments to go for coffee and discuss what you can do for them.
3. Take a walk around your neighborhood. Stop in the convenience stores and barber shops and hand your business card out to everyone you meet. Shake their hand, make eye contact, and tell them you’re glad to meet them. Don’t go home until you’ve handed out 20 cards.
4. By now, you’ve probably spent a few hours working and I bet it feels good, too. Reward yourself by having dinner in a restaurant in your neighborhood. Take photos. Chat with the owner or manager or wait staff. Ask them about the restaurant.
5. Write about the restaurant in your Active Rain blog.
