Last month I wrote about People that are losing their homes Losing Your Home.....Your Hopes and Your Dreams. That Post didn't have any answers, and there were a couple people that wrote in about their own circumstances. They needed something: advice, answers, hope.....

Today I heard about Operation Hope......a Non- Profit Organization in Los Angeles,that has a Mortgage Hotline that is supposed to help California Homeowners that are at risk of losing their homes to Foreclosure. Everyones situation is different, but it is worth the effort to at least try...it is an alternative when we have run out of answers.......especially since it is stated that 1 in 8 California homes are either in, or in danger of going into foreclosure.

The Number to call is 1-888-388-HOPE (4673) ........phone hours are 6am to 6pm M-F, and 9-6 Sat. PST (California time).....Be prepared to wait as there are many people calling.... So please be patient.

call now....what do you have to lose? It's FREE.....I hope this information helps the next person that is at a loss for an alternative to being Homeless.

Joseph-I called them, and you have to wait a tich on the phone, I just put them on speakerphone. The person that answers asks a few questions, and apparently gives the info to a "Counselor" ......who will get back to you. I am watching the news right now...channel 9, and they are repeating the info. But the number I put here is the number they give you after you call the one on TV.

I tried to save someone an extra step, and a little time.....so this is the right number to call, and the hours to call.

Carole- After writing my original Post, I was so happy to hear this info....and I too hope it helps others.

Lynette- Are you familiar with any others in our area.....if so would you post them too......some people need all the resources they can get, and to know who to trust and who not to.

Hi William- I have the info in my agenda too, and I hope that it is really useful. Sometimes people wait too long....or they don't call which could add to their frustration.

As long as it is legit then anything is a better alternative to foreclosure or losing your home.

Sally-Yes, the difference between homeless and hope......I like how you said that.

Marlene- It sounds like they know what they're doing......I hope enough people see this, or see something out there to call......1 in 8 those are huge numbers.....

Neal-Amen to that....there are enough con men to go around :)

Joseph-Yes, I called them.....and that is good for us, because Riverside County and San Bernardino County have been hit especially hard with Foreclosures.
