Facebook Cheat Sheet Guide - FREE

Hello fellow agents.

If anyone has given up trying to figure out what size the cover photo and smaller photos are on Facebook -- fear not.  I've put together a quick cheat sheet guide to these for you.

Download this Photoshop JPEG and you'll see the exact size of the Facebook cover photo needs to be 851 pixels WIDE and 315 pixels TALL.

Some helpful DOs and DONT's for your facebook cover. 

Make it filled with your text and photos. Remember, LESS is MORE.  No clutter.  So a clean photo here is a good idea. If you are not sure what a good scenic photo is, don't steal one from Google or Yahoo images.  This gets you in trouble.

Get a Royalty Free stock photo from any one of these three recommended locations:

Just create your fan page and leave it alone. This is a horrible idea. We're page one #1 and you'd think we'd be getting most of our leads from Google, right? WRONG. A surprising 38% of our new customers are coming to us from Facebook, 4% from Twitter and 11% from CraigsList.  Go figure. 

Visit your Facebook page daily, like 10 - 15 minutes and start inviting friends and colleagues over.

Start posting property information here. Open Houses. Videos linked to YouTube about neighborhoods here.

I do have my business page on FB but didn't have any leads from it.. I guess I have to try Sponsored Ads.

A blend of sponsored ads will help drive traffic.  

You must then follow up with getting LIKES and getting conversations going on your FB fan page.

Google's new tweaks are contant now.  The trick to stay visible is to be a bit more aggressive on getting likes to your Facebook page and learning how to swim in Google's "me too" iteration of going "social" with their Google+.  Take a look at your Google Places location and update your business settings there.  Chance are good, it's just old and stale.  

The magic formula, not being taught at any Inman Agent Reboot or even a Rain Camp webinar is how to do the work and get yourself trained on what to do and when to do it.  Like any diet, it's about the portion of protein, fats and carbohydrates and when to eat them.

We teach what to do, where to do it and when to do it.  Going from 16 likes to 480 in one month and rising from page 17 to page one on Google is what we did for RentalAspen.com.

The techniques you need to learn can help you achieve these same results.  Anthony Robbins teaches; "Success and failure leave clues. Do what successful people are doing and you will achive the same... if not GREATER success than they did."

Bart - Thanks.  There are some great tips here.  I really haven't done too much w/ my fan page.  We are posting daily (via hootsuite) but that's all we have time for now.  Next year, I hope that things will look different.
