Call Back--It Is Your Job

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

Sorry I just felt the need to vent. I am currently working with an agent and it is like pulling teeth to get a call back from her. We are supposed to close next week and my clients are coming in from out of town for the closing. I called her to be courteous and try to set a mutually beneficial closing time...no call back...I then called to find out if the repairs had been completed...no call back...called again to check repair status...no call back...so I am assuming they have not been completed??? It has been three weeks since the inspection agreement was signed...who knows. Just be courteous and let me know what is going on...

Please be kind to your fellow agents help them out and respond to their email/call for feedback or request for updates on the road to closing. I am sure they will appreciate it and want to sell another one of your listings or bring their newest buyer to yours.

Misery loves company - I am going through the same thing with another agent and a deal we are trying to make work. I have already confronted her about it.

Traci, I would simply drive down to her office and speak with her. If she is unavailable ask to speak to the broker and tell them the problems you are having with her. I guarantee that she will get a wakeup call from her boss! Good luck on a sucessful closing!

Traci, I listed a home on 11/29. Another agent still had his sign in the yard and lock box on the door, even though it had expired three weeks prior. This guy literally disappeared. I called him eight times, my assistant called him about 4 times and the seller called about five times a week for six weeks. Finally he surfaced in the last week of December. I know that because he called my client directly! Took another week to get the box off. This problem sadly will continue. Postive note: makes us agents who call back look that much better!

Matt-That is ridiculous!

You are right. This type of agent probably does not communicate any better with their clients. It is unfortunate though that some people will think we are al the same
