EDISON’S IN EDWARDSVILLE: Bowling, Arcade Games and So Much More
If you haven’t been to Edison’s yet, you’re missing the hip, new hangout in Edwardsville.
Located along IL-157 about a mile from I-270, the 30,000-square-foot Edison’s offers the latest in bowling themes and technology (think nightclub lounge instead of your dad’s old-school league).
Dancing lights, contemporary sofas, bar service, music and giant video screens enhance the lanes. In fact, if you’re a little ADHD, this bowling experience is perfect as you can multitask by taking your turn, watching the game, eating/drinking, listening to your favorite tunes and people watching. And don’t worry about scoring — the electronics do it for you.
While kids are drawn to Edison’s for the flashy state-of-the-art arcade games and laser tag arena, the crowd on the bowling lanes and in the restaurant and bar (naturally) are older, predominantly 20s through 40s, but all ages are spotted there and made to feel comfortable.
Edison’s also includes an excellent dessert spot — Tango frozen yogurt. It’s a do-it-yourself concept. Fill your cup with fro yo flavors like Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel Pretzel, Vanilla Bean, Cheesecake and many others. A no-sugar-added chocolate and a dairy free orange are nice touches too. Then add toppings that range from fresh fruit to candy, nuts, hot fudge, caramel…and the list goes on.
The restaurant on site features an outdoor patio with a gorgeous fireplace, perfect for an evening with friends. Party rooms are available for special occasions.
This fall Edison’s offers specials almost every night of the week:
Mondays: $5 nachos and $2 domestic bottles from 6 to 11 p.m. and $3 bottomless chili all day.
Tuesdays: $2 bowling games, shoes, burgers, domestic bottles, Chicago-style dogs and chili dogs. And, $2 off laser tag. (Food 5 to 9 p.m. only.)
