We have great interest rates and many homes to pick from now is the time to buy a home in Iowa. We also have an opportunity for the sellers to market their home at market value. How is the market in your area?

Peggy, in Baton Rouge the media insists on making statistical comparisons of the 2007 real estate market with 2006, the first full year after Hurricane Katrina. There is no statistically valid comparison. The year 2006 was an anomaly. Now we can compare all of 2007 data with 2004 and find that we have returned to a normal market. We are not suffering the downturn in the real estate market experienced in other parts of the country. But everyone sees the bad news, and of course they believe it.
