Market Snapshot - Toledo, OH

By
Real Estate Agent with Casmi Photography

I have been watching the market in our area and wondering if we are truly seeing any relief.  Even just a little.

So, in order to assuage my curiosity, I pulled a report from December 15, 2007 to January 18, 2008.  I am pleasantly surprised.

While our home prices may not be as high as other areas, it seems as though the number of units sold is up and the DOM are down - albeit slightly.

I am encouraged by this short set of numbers.  It will be interesting to see what the first quarter shakes out to be.

***This data is for the city of Toledo only.  It does not encompass the suburbs.

It's really not as bad as some would think.  Compared to other areas of the country it may seem like a depressed market, but there are some great homes here and the 'tax time' buyers are starting to show some interest.  It's gonna be one heckuva ride!

Every bit of improvement is welcome!!! I'm glad to see that things are getting better. I truly believe that this is going to be the year of surprises! That's my campaign slogan...

Vote for Elizabeth Nieves...she promises that 2008 will be the Year of Surprises!!!

Oh yeah...I forgot that I'm NOT one of the presidential candidates. :-)

Guess what, my friend? It is supposed to start snowing any minute now. That's why I'm being so silly...snow fever!!! Luv ya and GBU!!

I agree, Elizabeth!  There is a little ray of sunshine poking through and I intend to coax it out!

I love the campaign slogan!  LOL  Perhaps you should run for local office!  Maybe that would be the start of yet another career!  :))

We won't have much snow today.  It's way too cold.  Wind chill is down around 4 degrees now and will drop below 0 tonight.

Go play in the snow.  Have Diego take a picture of you making a snow angel!  I wanna see it!

Love ya - and GBU too!

Joan:  I will take a candle flicker as opposed to complete darkness!  LOL  This period of 'self adjustment' is feeling a little more solid, so I'm anticipating wonderful things for 2008!
