Double Dipping Your Posts
You did the work. Wrote a masterpiece of a post! There's no one going to doubt that you know that neighborhood, that event, that town, that (fill in blank as appropriate). You've thrown that bread crumb out into the vast wilderness of the Internet and hope someone finds it. You did the SEO thing as best you know, so the odds are good, right?
But you want to get a few extra digital miles out of your posts? Reference them in your other posts where it makes sense!
As an example, we knew we had a closing scheduled yesterday in Stone Lake at River's Bend. New construction for our buyers, nice home, a segment we wouldn't mind working some more. And typically after a closing we'll do a PR post to let folks know we not only blog about real estate, but that we actually DO sell some here and there :)
So Monday evening a quick trip through Stone Lake at River's Bend to get pictures. Not just of the home our buyers bought, but enough to fuel a blog post on the 60 home community. Follow up with some web research on the community and what the builder offers, fire up a thorough blog post on Stone Lake at River's Bend on Wednesday morning and our digital lure is set for any buyers searching for the community.
This morning we do the PR post on the closing and of course we mention the community name AND we link the phrase Stone Lake at River's Bend to Wednesday's community post. Now we don't know Google's Panda from Penguin from patootie, but from a practical sense anyone reading the PR post and liking the picture of the home has the chance to click through and read more about Stone Lake. Attach the community post link to the picture for good measure, so they can click the picture OR the word link and wind up at the community post. Then they see community knowledge demonstrated and you've got a better shot of YOU being the one they call with follow up questions. And isn't that what we're all after?
And now that we have a baseline post, we've got the ability to link back to that original post. If we want to write about anything happening in South Lebanon or Hamilton Township and mention a community or two, you know where we can go to get some extra use from the initial work!
Link to Facebook, Pinterest and your other media avenues for even more broadcast power.
Blog, link, repeat. Blog, link, repeat. Build your presence and get the most out of your posts at the same time!
Keep on Blogging,
