Caution: Honest Political Discussion Ahead!
I was about to Cry when I received an eMail Letter from one of my Clients that spoke with a Forked Tongue, with me, when he/she forwarded an eMail from one of the Local Home Builders that wanted to show him "the new them", that wanted to "redefine new homes", that wanted to "make sure that they built what he/she was looking for", etc.
Before I Go On,,,
Can I ask you One Political Question about Supply and Demand, err, Basic Economics?
For those of you that said yes:
When there is an OVER SUPPLY OF ANY COMMODITY THAT IS MAN MADE, By any Person or Company, then,
is it wise to continue MAKING/PRODUCING THAT COMMODITY, OR IS IT WISE TO STOP MAKING THAT COMMODITY?
The correct answer is: It Depends,
Yes, It DEPENDS!
It depends on if you are a Stock Holder in that Company, or if you are a Person Suffering from the OVER=PRODUCTION of that commodity from that Comapny.
To further the discussion,
ESPECIALLY WHEN FOLKS CANNOT GET OUT OF THEIR CURRENT NIGHT-MARISH Circumstances without Great Negative Repurcussions,
It is sort of like shooting deer in the headlights,
And the Producers of the OVER=PRODUCED COMMODITY can exploit the wealth of those deer that want to make-good on their promises, because those that want sell "their own comodity" cannot sell because they owe way too much.
Let us say that there are many, many, folks that have been stung and are losing their Wealth, their Livelyhoods, their Retirement, and their Espri d'core, because they purchased a home, or a 2nd home, or an Investment Property that has dropped in value by up to 50% in the last 2.5 years since closing, and even more since the Pre-Construction Priced Contract to Purchase that home was signed.
Let us imagine that the Home Builder is innocent.
Let us imagine that the Home Builder's Wholly Owned Subsidiary Mortgage Company is innocent.
Let us imagine that the Appraiser, that was hired by the Wholly Owned Subsidiary Mortgage Company of the Home Builder, that Appraised that home, is innocent.
The Real Question is:
Is it smart,,,
for those that are
THE Powers That Be,
such as Mayors, County Supervisors, Town Council, Elected Officials, etc.
to allow ANYBODY THAT IS ADDING TO THE SUPPLY OF AN OVER=SUPPLIED COMMODITY TO CONTINUE TO ALLOW THE MAKER OF THAT OVER=SUPPLIED COMMODITY, TO CONTINUE MAKING/PRODUCING THAT OVER=SUPPLIED COMMODITY, WHEN ALL OF THE CITIZENS OF THAT Town, City, County, etc.
are
Losing their Wealth, their Livelyhoods, their Retirement, and their Espri d'core,
AND,
The Different Politcal Jurisdictions are losing Great Tax Wealth,
with each and every EVEN-FURTHER-GREATLY-DISCOUNTED PRODUCT THAT IS PRODUCED AND SOLD?
That was my real question.
I have nothing against Home Builders, or the Home Builder's Wholly-Owned Subsidiary Mortgage Comapany, or their Company-Authorized Appraisers, hired by the Home Builder's Wholly-Owned Subsidiary Mortgage Companies.
I do want to cry when I see everybody losing their wealth.
Is there anything we can do to stop the pain?
I invite further discussions.
Anybody else feeling the pain?
Anybody know how to INCREASE The DEMAND?
(i.e., Invite those outside of the US to buy properties in the US, or, build Anchor Attractions such as Palm Beach County Casinos?)
or LOWER the SUPPLY
(such as Tax Dollars to buy Valencia in Abacoa Jupiter Homes (Imminent Domain) to make a Smithsonian South Museum and force those who live in Valencia to buy homes elsewhere?)?
Let's try to pump up the USA! and Florida! and Palm Beach County! and with the Tax Dollars recovered, we can pay the Home Builders Unemployment Compensation!
