The good news for Wayland in the Wayland, MA Housing Market Report for July 12 is that the number of houses sold doubled. That is good. People want to live here and are buying. The other piece of good news is that the prices are coming up slightly. Sellers are still not receiving their asking price, but they are receiving more than they were. That, too, is good. The rest of the statistics still show some lagging. I expect the numbers for Aug to be better. With this kind of information coming out of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® and a benefit to me a Realtor® is that the statistics are based on a deep dive into the analytics of this information and not just web info. It is worth the wait. Each month I also provide this information from the statistics that are based on the MLS.

Slowly but surely the signs are starting to come together that the housing market seems to be getting healthier all the time Larry. Lets hope for better times ahead. I'd love to work in a hot market for once. I think that would be fun.

@Malcolm since I work five different towns what is interesting to me is that some are reacting more quickly than others. I know there is a lesson here and I want to dive deep and find out. Thanks for stopping by.

@Nyssa, yes the houses sold did double, but there are other issues that are concerning to this community and I hope the Aug and Sept numbers show prices rising and DOM coming down. Thanks for stopping by.
