Invites you to come out to the Second Annual “Great American Bake Sale” sponsored by the Rochester Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and theNo-Kid-Hungry-Campaign Saturday, Sept 22, 8-Noon. Rain or Shine. It will be located at the corner of East Third and Water Street in the parking lot above where the Farmer’s Market is held. The goal is to raise funding for school lunch programs which comes back to the state of Michigan in the form of grants. Let’s help kids focus on learning by keeping their tummies full. There will also be cooking demonstrations from the Royal Park Hotel, story time for the kids, and a cupcake walk. More than 400 DOZEN baked goods were donated last year and $3000 was raised. The DDA is hoping to increase that amount this year. Do you want to donate? Drop off baked goods at the DDA office at 308 1/2 Street or on the morning of the event. See you there!
