Confessions of a Blogger?

Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Liberty Homes RS-#62825

What do you consider to be a blogging block?  I have been through the writers block several times and still kicked out some good read. I’ve seriously had a bad block and used the photos I took to create something….beautiful.

There was no stopping these hands from typing!

Now, my life has meaning?   I have balance and no longer need that ActiveRain blog fix. NOT!  After you’ve had the Addiction to ActiveRain there is no turning back.  Even while being busy I am feeling ‘guilty’ about not being on here every single day…..twice or three times a day.

I’ve had to limit my intake to just a couple of times a week.

I’ve had to carry this guilt trip around with me all the other days that  I am not here.

Believe me, my heart and soul is with ActiveRain and always will be.

Shucks….I have balance in my life.

*A side note:  All the time I’ve spent on ActiveRain…..has made me a productive member of the Real Estate Industry. I also spend time with my family and still make time to make the rounds here and there and everywhere.

**Second side note confession:  I completed both right and left hand carpal tunnel surgeries. I am healing and will be typing like a son of a gun from hereon.   SO THERE.

Laura:  Sure is.  I started learning by doing a pie chart to balance my time. Work is 8 hrs (sometimes more) Sleep is 8 hrs. (sometimes a bit less but not by much)  and the rest of the time is devoted to family, travel time, me time and media. lol

I was thinking about your mom the other day. In fact, I think of her quite often.  I sent her a good luck turtle and she just adored it!  I look at mine that I bought at the same time and think of her.  It;s right on the shelf above my work station.

I need some kind of a system, or a plan, or even a schedule for blogging, for living, for working.  I'm glad you have the two surgeries behind you.  Enjoy your day.

Glad you are blogging, that surgery is not a fun deal.  I hope it all works out for you, I know it can be a painful thing. When I was a massage therapist, I saw many a client who had problems with hands and wrist.  Not a fun ordeal.

Hope you mend quickly, Sally.  It's amazing how important that one hand becomes when it's less available.

Sally. It takes dedication to keep blogging for as long as you have. I know because I started before you :)

I've been in the midst or writers blog for a long time. I do however still post something at least 3 times a week. Fortunately I have over 1,000 articles that I've writen so can just go in and repost to keep my content current.

Sally: I gave up on balance and normal. They just didn't seem to work for me. Not sure they ever did. Speedy recovery after surgery. Remember, a photo's worth 50,000 words! :O) And, it's a small world, my daughter Shannon is almost a neighbor of yours... she lives in Kapaa.

Finding balance is the most important, Sally but it needs to be what is right for YOU.  Let go of the guilt and do what works for you.  Glad you have the surgeries behind you and you can now get back in your routine.

Silly Sally! I'm definitely addicted, but some days I just can't get here, no matter how hard I try.  This was one of those weeks.  I did't like it, but that's life!  I'm multi-taksing today.  Blogging, doing laundry and watching football.  Wahoo!

Welcome back, Sally.

Being addicted is one thing, having a blogging block is entirely different thing. For me - I am stuck half-the-way where my fingers are with me (thank God), my thought are with me - but there is something that stops me expressing my thought here in form of blog-posts (whereas I do leave lengthy comments on many posts!)

As I said, welcome back...(and I am sure you know about 'Naturally Speaking' software....just a thought.)

Balance? I started almost one year ago on ActiveRain.. and life as I knew it is over.. for my family too.. It is addictive and just a lot of fun. Blogging changes how I feel and see things, and gives motivation to work and play. I have learned an enormous amount about myself too. I would not trade that either. My family now knows that everything is a blog and that photos.. and soon to be video are the way I look at things. They have now joined me in the process of what would make for a good blog. So far i am not at a loss for what to blog about, but more for the time to get up the content I want. It is an amazing journey..

I am glad to hear that you will be back typing more again soon! I can only imagine how much you have missed it!

@ lil bro....yes, merely rumors lol

@ BB  ...and you can reciprocate the same lol

@ Praful...Never left....bottom line is that I am reading when I can and commenting when possible and writing when I go through enough guilt trip to get me off my tush to do so.

@ Janis....My first, second, third years were the same....the fourth and fifth because more of community support. Pretty soon it will be six years and I believe it will go on much longer.  ActiveRain has been the best source to express myself about real estate, my community and even my life.  I am healing quick.  Just a little lump to massage out and it will be good.
