It's usually around this time of year when folks will ask me if it's too late in the year to put their home on the market.
Yes, I know. School HAS started. But... that's ok.
There are so many reasons why people move. And most of them have nothing to do with the starting of school.
If we started with the first of the year, we could go completely through the entire year and come up with a great reason why "that particular month" would be a great time to move.
If your home is priced "within reason"... which means it is priced right about where it will appraise when the mortgage company sends out their appraiser... it should sell fairly quickly in the greater Mentor, Ohio real estate market.
If the condition of your home makes it appear roomy, pleasant, and gives off a feeling of "yes, I could live here"... then your home should sell fairly quickly. Of course, that's the case in the Mentor, Ohio real estate market, or in any market... no matter what time of year it is.
Of course... this IS Mentor, Ohio. And yes... we could wake up tomorrow with 18 inches of snow on the ground.
The longer you wait, the more that becomes a possibility.
