Do You Want Strong support From the Lord?

I can do nothing without Him. We recently had a problem with a bridge right outside our home. It needed repaired and was really getting loud whenever a vehicle would cross it. We called the state to see if anything could be done about it. They sent out an engineer who said he was going to recommend a patch and we were not happy about it. It would only alleviate the situation a little bit. So we took action. We petitioned the Lord, we want our peace restored Lord! And we would always start by thanking Him first for all the many great things He has done for us. We also got in the habit of everytime we heard a vehicle hitting our bridge, we'd thank Him for our new bridge that was coming. It made any visitors look at us funny. They would ask, why do you keep saying thank you Lord every minute or two. We'd then tell them, we were going to get a new bridge soon and every car passing by was a reminder to thank Him for it. 2 weeks later a crew showed up and said, "Bad news, we have to close the bridge for a while." When we asked why for a little patch job?, they said, "No, you're getting a total repave over job and it will take 2 weeks." We were ecstatic to say the least. We don't even hear most cars passing by now. Thank you Lord for Mike and his love for You!

I seek out the Lord for strength and direction every chance I get every day.

Mike, just hit on a sister verse to this and remembered this post. 2 Chronicles 26 tells of Uzziah. 4 He did right in the sight of the Lord according to all that his father Amaziah had done. 5 He continued to seek God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding through the vision of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God prospered him.
