Weather Picture from Redington Shores, FL Public Beach Access

Redington Shores, FL has a public beach access at 18200 Gulf Boulevard. I like going there because it has a big parking lot and restroom facilities.

Sometimes our Florida weather is unpredictable though, massive, dark clouds roll in, and it changes from sunny to a massive downpour in a few short minutes.

If the sky looks like this, it's probably a good idea to pack up the umbrella and beach chairs, and head on home. The beach day is about to be cut short:

Hi Tanja, I just read Debb Janes Newbie Tuesday's post, and wanted to come over and introduce myself. Welcome to Active Rain!, but I see you have been doing great with your blogging. Your last featured post was certainly very popular among Rain Members with all those re-blogs.

Yes, With that sky looking that way, I would recommend bringing an umbrella. Have a Nice Evening!

Beautiful beach Tanja.  It looks like everyone has already left because of the weather.

Gabe, you got that right, I snapped the picture as I were racing to the car. Got wet while loading up a little bit, and then drove home in a downpour. But we got a couple hours of fun in first!

Ominous cloud cover - no wonder folks left the beach. I saw on the news this morning that the East coast was hit with a storm overnight. Wondering if this was part of that system. Take care and hope the sun is shining again today.

Oh what I'd give to be on the beach today... Heck I'd even enjoy the ominous looking cloud :)  We've had under 5 inches of rain all year and in a dire drought.

Hi Tanja,

Very good picture of the storm rolling in and good tie in with your blog. The beach looks so inviting even with a storm showing up.

I've always liked racing off the beach and trying to beat the rain.  Glad you had some good beach time though.

You do not want to be on the beach when the lightning starts zapping the area, Tanja. Good advice.

Hi Tanja,

Just read Debb Janes Newbie Tuesday post and wanted to stop by to say Hi.  Love the pics of your area with the storm clouds.  I have family who live nearby in the Largo area.
