When you get home from a long day's work, don’t you just wish dinner would magically appear on the table? When it’s time to leave for work again in the morning, wouldn’t it be nice to have your personal driver drop you off and pick you up? Sure. We all want ways we can make our lives easier – especially if your profession is in the busy world of real estate. Luckily, the real estate industry is the perfect place to point out the ways in which one big thing can make our lives easier – technology.
That word can be scary sometimes. Technology. I mean, it’s always changing. It’s never the same. One day you think you have the coolest new device and the next day your co-worker shows up with an even cooler, newer one. But all of this is good. Technology is your friend. As your real estate virtual assistants, it’s a part of our job description to stay in touch with all the ways technology can help us move forward. So, I’d like to present to you five technology tools to keep you ahead of the curve!
A Tablet: get an office away from your office by investing in a tablet. I prefer the iPad, but there are many different kinds out there. Find the one that is best for you and watch your life change. If you use it right, owning a tablet will make your life easier in an endless amount of ways. From real estate apps and programs to keeping your office on the go, this will help you tremendously.
An IDX: This is the power to pull information shared by brokers on the MLS. This is a must have tool for all real estate agents. The majority of home buyers start their search online – so give them a tool that shows them what’s out there and leads them back to you.
Social Media Management: One word. Hootsuite. It’s a simple and easy to use tool to help you manage all of your social media platforms in one place. Why spend an hour filtering through Facebook and Twitter separately when you could kill several birds with one stone using this tool?
A Smartphone: I’m not really sure this one should be elaborated on since most of us have this already. But for those of you who still love your simple cell phone, you must know that there are many perks to owning a smart phone. It doesn’t matter what type of smartphone you choose to use – whether it’s an iPhone, Droid, Galaxy or whatever – this right here is your baby. It’s your contact management. It’s your calendar. Your GPS. Your email. Your camera and so much more. Look into it. I promise you will fall in love!
A Virtual Assistant: What could be better than a team full of marketing professionals that you don’t have to look at every day? Well, that’s when you get when you hire real estate virtual assistants. You get all the perks of a professional marketing team - without the space being taken up in your office. With just the click of a button all of your listing marketing efforts are taken care of within just 48 hours. A simple phone call could turn into a full-fledged listing marketing presentation. You could be posting to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and your blog without ever even sitting down at your computer. Sounds pretty awesome, right? But don’t let me ramble on; our testimonials can do the talking.
So even if you don’t have a private chauffer or a personal chef, you can still find ways to make your professional life easier. If you need help implementing any of these tools, just contact your real estate virtual assistant and we will help you get the ball rolling.
