Novation is expanding its home appraisal management business in Tampa by hiring 200 people. Novation is the parent company of StreetLinks Lender Solutions and manages the appraisal process for major lenders. Novation moved into Tampa last year and currently employs 200 people.
Novation has received nearly one million dollars in economic incentives and its growth has been recognized by Enterprise Florida at its quarterly meeting, which is where the company’s expansion was announced.
The 200 new hires will be divided between two companies, both start-ups. One is Mango Moving, a corporate and residential mover. Mango has already hired several sales and moving consultant positions. The other company is Advent Financial, which provides prepaid MasterCards for people without bank accounts. They will begin hiring both permanent and seasonal positions in October.

Novation is formerly known as leading subprime mortgage lender, NovaStar Financial. At one time, its stock reached $70 a share. That high collapsed during the nationwide housing bust. After exiting the mortgage lending business and changed its name to Novation, its stock recently closed at 63 cents a share.
