Do the Local Authorities within Palm Beach County and the Towns Within Have the Power to Implement an Emergency Home Building Moratorium?

I am curious...

Do the Local Authorities in Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach, Tequesta, Singer Island, or any of Palm Beach County, have the Power to Implement an Emergency Building Moratorium?

I am also curious...

What do you think will happen if the Local Authorities Implemented an Emergency Home Building Moratorium, besides Law Suits by the Builders?

Thank you for your answers!

I am sure the government can do just about anything it wants.

Interesting issue. We had a moratorium on new multifamily residential a few years back, and it was ruled legal here. Lasted about two years.

Where will the New Home Builders Stop? At what price per square foot will the Home Builders put their homes on the market for next?

Everytime that I lower the price of my Clients' homes in order to compete against the Home Builders, the Home Builders drop their prices again. My Client's cannot keep pace with the New Home Builder's Price Reductions!!!

Do any of the Current Home Owners have a chance to sell their homes with New Home Builders dumping their product?

If the Home Owners can't sell their homes because all the Home Buyers buy progressively deeper and deeper, deeply-discounted New Homes built by New Home Builders what is going to happen to the Current Home Owners?

At what price do the citizens of Palm Beach County have to suffer to sell their properties when the New Home Builders are cutting prices so drastically and so often?

Can Mortgage Companies petition the local governments and stop the New Home Builders from undercutting the price of the Security on the Mortgage Companies' Loans?

What are your thoughts?
