Now is the time for late bloomers!

Baptized in cleansing waters blue,
Their Glory Days are nigh at hand.
Late-bloomers take their final stand!
                    (R Weisser 2012)

When we think of Fall we always think of foliage, but fall also delivers the a tremendous display of wildflowers.

It’s as if Nature decides to take one last, great stand against the upcoming windows and presses forth a profusion of late blooms.

And although they are late to the party, they will make the best use of their remaining time and complete their mission of reproduction and the completion of the cycle of life!

Sometimes productivity peaks at the last minute!

And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Richard,  I like the composition detail in your photos.  It's never too late to bloom, even at the last minute!

Debbie...

It's an often overlooked part of the season ... except for those that suffer from hayfever!!! Thanks.

Sharon...

It's something in which I take a great deal of pride. Thanks for noticing!

S&D...

Sheila...

But like my dad always told me: "You lack focus." But a little whimsy never hurts anyone, did it? Thanks so much and have a great Sunday.

Thanks for sharing your great pictures with us Richard. Nature's great reminder that it's never to late to get done what you set out to do.

There is new life that emerges in every season, but because it's not as abundant as spring, it goes unnoticed.  Love the message.
